Pep Guardiola has responded to Jurgen Klopp's comments ahead of the Community Shield on Sunday.
The Liverpool supervisor said a weekend ago that specific clubs live in 'Capriccio land' since they can spend crazy measures of cash each exchange window.
It was translated as a burrow at Manchester City and Guardiola issued his reaction.
Guardiola stated: "It troubles me obviously on the grounds that it's not valid. Liverpool is not a little group.
"I don't care for making statements that aren't valid. Last season we burned through £17million on one player. I assumed control over a group yet we can't burn through many millions each season. We brought one player and Angelino so the clubs can't spend each season.
"I am not going to remark on different supervisors; they can say what they state, yet it's not valid."
